Pandan Tea, made with pandan leaves. Known scientifically as Pandanus amaryllifolius. Widely used in Southeast Asian cooking for their unique, sweet, and fragrant aroma. Beyond their culinary applications, pandan leaves also possess various health benefits.

1. Natural Antioxidant: Pandan leaves are rich in essential oils, glycosides, and alkaloids, which have antioxidant properties. These antioxidants can help in fighting free radicals in the body, potentially reducing the risk of certain diseases, including cancers.

2. Pain Relief: They have been traditionally used as a natural remedy for pain relief. The leaves contain compounds that can act similarly to analgesic drugs, helping to alleviate headaches, earaches, and even arthritis pain.

3. Anti-Diabetic Effects: Some studies suggest that pandan leaves may have anti-diabetic properties by helping to lower blood sugar levels. This is attributed to the presence of compounds that can enhance insulin sensitivity.

4. Improves Digestive Health: Pandan leaves are believed to have a positive effect on the digestive system. They can be used to treat stomach spasms, improve appetite, and aid in the digestion process.

5. Reduces Fever: In traditional medicine, pandan leaves have been used to reduce fever. The cooling effect of the leaves is thought to help lower body temperature during fever.

6. Anti-Cancer Properties: Preliminary research indicates that the extracts of pandan leaves may possess anti-cancer properties, although more studies are needed to fully understand their efficacy in this area.

7. Stress Reliever: The aromatic properties of pandan leaves are considered to have a calming effect on the mind, thus helping to reduce stress and anxiety levels.

8. Healthy Skin: Pandan leaves are used in various skin care treatments. They contain compounds that may help in treating skin problems like acne, sunburn, and small wounds, owing to their anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.
